Cool at least we now know what tiles we are looking at. Any ideas how many tiles will be needed as I have no idea how many tiles you need/want for this game? seems a damn expensive way to do a board at 93 quid per 2 square foot, even the 4x4 board costs £360 and that would be a small table for playing on or is the plan to mix it with the normal GW fantasy tiles we already have and if so how would they blend them in together? JMD Scenery do a painted 4x4 for £240+shipping ( )

And if we can hit that target by the end of April, like Roger says, then we're can rapidly move towards Historic/fantasy sections + shrubbery.
But yeah, the Zone Mortalis plan has been a thing since Warhammer Fest in september.

That does seem like alot of cash still. I would also like to point out that what with the club being unsure about the future of the venue having some cash saved for a deposit on a new venue could be a sensible idea. The Zone Mortalis might have been a plan but I'm not sure most of the people in the club got a say about it. I know I wouldn't have bought anything from the tuckshop if I had known what it was being used for. I would rather bring my own snacks and put the money I saved into my own personal terrain projects.

As someone who puts on a lot of participation games at the club I would also have put money into my own terrain to replace the stuff that keeps getting broken in transit from home to club and back each week.
Basics first for me.

I appreciate the posts before this, I’d just like to say this:
This was originally started as a way to get a certain bit of kit; I have no intention of stopping after this has been achieved.
I was left with 2 £5 notes and coins to use to restock supplies… This is why I would like to look after the money separate from other club funds.
The reason for wanting to get said kit is that it will be used and will encourage 40k and 30k players to come down the club. This being said, as I’m the one dealing with this, I’d appreciate it if this was the 1st thing bought. If this is an issue, someone else may step up and I will let them deal with this ^^

That make perfect sense to me Adam, I agree with you about keeping the funds separate. Makes sense that it has its own separate pool of cash to restock from and to put toward it's specific goal. The issues I had was that the club funds from excess numbers of people were being added to the 30k board and that I feel that most people are not aware what the tuck shop was funding.
I think if we split the two funds and make people aware what each thing funds it would make the whole thing alot more transparent and will sort out the issue. What does anyone else think?

Might be worth making a shopping list re terrain and stuff on Sunday.
We could also put the money from annual membership towards additional terrain

The additional funds from attendance as far as I am aware were never added to the tuck fund

Makes sense to me that way we should be able to put together a shopping list of generic terrain to cover most systems and use the membership fees to get ourselves a proper set of terrain rather than relying on people to bring down their own terrain and boards. Once we have our basic terrain we could then look at putting the additional funds into whichever things the people at the club want.
The funds in the first post were added together with the attendance money to give us the £85 total, it was only put as two separate amounts when I asked about it.

Yeah I think the main morale of the story is we all need to work at communication!

Right lets get this straight
Is the leigon closing?? Do we have any ideas where else is avalible?
Else all other talk of extra kit and plans is kinda pointless
pointless is the wrong word bu we cant build off unstable foundations
If it closes i move we spend money on cake beer and bitches / have a party bbq thing

Someone said they had to give 6 months notice if they wanted to close the Legion, as it's providing a community service.

Not officially but it seems no one who runs it fully knows what is going on and bearing in mind they were trying to sell it I wouldn't be surprised if we find out at the last minute.
