Evening Warlords,
I recently moved back to St. Evenage and was looking for a gaming club to join and popped in on your meeting today in Hitchin.
After having a quick chat with the guys there I thought I’d reach out and introduce myself to the wider group.
Whilst trying desperately not to make this sound too much like an online dating profile I’ll note down what I’m up too.
I’ve been collecting mini’s for a number of years beginning with Epic 40k (in 1990’s) however collecting, modelling, collecting more, a bit of painting and a bit more collecting is unfortunately about as close to Wargaming as I’ve actually ever gotten. I’ve never really got round to playing anything despite popping off to a couple the Beasts of War boot amps.
My main Wargaming interests are currently Team Yankee, Flames of War (15mm WW2 and WW3), Dropzone Commander (10mm sci-if), Bolt Action (28mm WW2) and the obligatory collection of Warhammer 40k.
I’ve been looking for and hopefully have found a club that can get me from being a collector to being a gamer.
Im interested in and have played some board games such as Red Storm Rising, Hunt for Red October, Risk and Memoir 44. I also have a small collection of X-Wing.
What I might be very interested in may be to introduce Team Yankee to the club and the first thing I’d like to know is what interest there might be out there to do so.
If you might be interested in taking a journey with me could you drop me a note and I’ve got several copies of the rules in mini format that I can bring along to the club and give out. After you’ve had a read through I have an American and USSR force we can use to play through the rules with.
Thanks for taking the time to read my intro and I hope to be playing, hobbling and gaming with you soon.
Kind regards,
Kelvin
